Europa A Water and Oxygen World
Europa is the smallest among the four moons of Jupiter first seen by Galileo in 1610. It is the sixth largest moon in our solar system. Europa is slightly smaller than our moon; it’s diameter is just 31000 Km. What makes Europa remarkable is that it has twice as much as water than we have on earth. Secondly it has incredibly an oxygen atmosphere, although it is very thin and we cannot remove our space suits and breathe in open, you can easily imagine how helpful it would be for future space travelers who are going to set up first space colony on Europa . The surface of Europa is covered with cracks and streaks, beneath this cracked surface there is salty liquid-water ocean. That’s why Scientists included Europa in Water Worlds.

NASA Will send Clipper spacecraft to Europa
NASA’s Europa Clipper mission will conduct a detailed search for the locations that are suitable for harboring life, a highly capable and radiation-tolerant spacecraft loaded with lots of instrument will perform repeated close flybys of the Europa, it might fly through the giant water plumes of Europa.
Scientists are seeking desperately the oases that could support life in our solar system. Read More
Europa Has all the alchemy for Life – water, chemicals and Energy !
NASA Scientists firmly believe that Europa has all the necessary ingredients for life? Life needs water, chemicals and energy for it’s existence. Jupiter’s Moon europa has plenty of them, strong evidence are there of liquid ocean, water, oxygen, carbon dioxide (CO2) and sulfur dioxide (SO2). Read More
What is the Proof of Ocean on Europa?
what makes scientists think that there is a ocean beneath the icy crust of Europa? Their assumption based on the photos and data sent by various previous spacecrafts, know more.
ESA Will Send JUICE To Europa in 2022
Europien space agency is planning to launch a large class mission to Jupeter’s Icy Moon. JUICE JUpiter ICy moons Explorer is planned for launch in 2022 and it will reach to Jupitr in 2029. The spacecraft will study Jupiter and it’s three largest moons Ganymede, Callisto and Europa.
JUICE will study chemistry of Europa’s surface, investigate Europa’s Icy crust and ocean beneath. The spacecraft will make a closest flyby at an altitude of 400 km. Read More
Water Plumes on Europa
Sometimes re-analyzing old data can give you surprisingly new insight; that’s what happened with NASA Scientists when they look at old data from Galileo Spacecraft, they found the most direct evidence of plumes emerging from Europa’s Surface…read more
Radiation from Jupiter can kill bio-signature molecules on Europa’s Surface
If any creature or it’s bio waste ever has came up on Europa’s Surface from it’s icy ocean, it has been destroyed by radiation from Jupiter. so if you are going to look for any bio-signatures or chemical signs of life take this radiation map of Europa. it reveals where scientists should look for life on Europa read more
Look that’s how ocean rise up on Europa!
This animation demonstrates how deformation in the icy surface of Europa could transport subsurface ocean water to the moon’s surface.
This is just one of several simulated behaviors reported in a new study performed by scientists at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory. The study focused on linear features called “bands” and “groove lanes” found on Jupiter’s moons Europa and Ganymede. Scientists have used the same numerical model to solve mysteries about motion in Earth’s crust.

Hydrothermal Model for Life on Europa
There is 100 km deep ocean of liquid water on Jupiter’s Moon Europa; does this ocean harbor life? One theoretical research on the habitability of oceans of Europa has been conducted by a group of Brazilian researchers from University of Sao Paulo. Read More
One of Plumes of Europa wasn’t Plume at all!! says new study!
A new study suggests that one plume of water is not plume but just warm rock! study of “thermal inertia” hints scientists. read more
Signs of Earth like Plate Tectonics on Europa
A new study found new evidence of tectonic plates beneath the icy surface of Jupiter’s Moon Europa; Read full report conducted at Brown university.
So this is the NASA’s plan to explore Europa!
Know what is the NASA’s plan for the exploration of Europa, NASA scientists are hoping to send probes to Europa and other nearby moons. These probes will investigate the sub surface oceans. This is very crucial mission in search of extra-terrestrial life in our solar system, because Europa is the most promising candidate for harbor life. Read More
Seismometer will listen Heartbeats of Europa
NASA scientists are developing a Seismometer for Europa. Seismometer is an instrument that measures movement of the ground , on earth it is used to measure the waves generated by an earthquake, volcanic eruption, or by explosives. as Europa faces strong gravity of Jupiter which causes movement of icy surface. By the use of seismometer we can discover the shell’s thickness, subsurface lakes, depth of ocean and many more things. read more
You may sink in icy Quicksand on Europa Surface
Jupiter’s icy moon Europa has been on the top positions for mission to find extraterrestrial life in our solar system, because it has the most favorable conditions for life to evolve! Now a team of scientist suggested that Europa Surface is too soft to land; and landing attempt is going to be very delicate; you or your rover may sink in the dune of micro icy particles after landing.
