Total Recall your Dreams with Vitamin B6 New research says
Recall your Dreams :- Almost all of us dreams…vivid and bizarre dreams…all types of dreams.. Sometimes we remember it and most often we forget it, the entire dream slips from our memory, only some fragment of it remains and they annoys us, we find ourselves left behind with a strange feeling and lots of questions..What was it? We find hard and hard to remember what happened in that strange dream but nothing came out in our conscious mind. In Asian countries, people try to find signs of future events by interpreting their dreams; but how can you know the meaning of a dream if you forget the story.
Now science is offering a solution to you for remembering dreams… to total recall your dreams.
A new study published in “Journal Perceptual and Motor Skills” says that by consuming Vitamin B6 before going to bed; helps you remember your dreams clearly in the morning.
Researchers at the University of Adelaide Australia, conducted a very small test.
The Small experiment on Dreams
They took 100 healthy people and divided them in two groups. They gave 240 mg daily dose of Vitamin B6 to first group for five days continuously, and they gave simple placebo tablets to other group. They did not tell people that what pills they are taking during this experiment.
Result were noteworthy..The first group of people reported that they clearly and easily remembered their dreams..and they did not lose any part of the memory of that dream as their daily routine activities went on.
It clearly showed the effects of Vitamin B6 on process of remembering dreams.
“Our results show that taking Vitamin B6 improved people’s ability to recall dreams compared to a placebo,” said paper author Dr. Denholm Aspy, a visiting research fellow in psychology at the University of Adelaide, Australia.
“Vitamin B6 did not affect the vividness, bizarreness or color of their dreams, and did not affect other aspects of their sleep patterns.”
“This is the first time that such a study into the effects of Vitamin B6 and other B vitamins on dreams has been carried out on a large and diverse group of people,” he further stated.
“It seems as time went on my dreams were clearer and clearer and easier to remember. I also did not lose fragments as the day went on,” said one of the participants
“My dreams were more real, I couldn’t wait to go to bed and dream,” added another participant.
But why…what is the benefit in remembering a dream?
It may be prove helpful in curing fears, phobias psychologically during lucid dreaming.
In Lucid dreaming state you know that you are inside a dream and you can even try to change the dream..The environment in it… who knows with attaching some other drug with vitamin B6; scientist would be able to completely control your dreams. In science we can never know where this small path will lead us….what new things would be unfolded next..
“The average person spends around six years of their lives dreaming. If we are able to become lucid and control our dreams, we can then use our dreaming time more productively,” Dr. Aspy said.
“Lucid dreaming, where you know that you are dreaming while the dream is still happening, has many potential benefits. For example, it may be possible to use lucid dreaming for overcoming nightmares, treating phobias, creative problem solving, refining motor skills and even helping with rehabilitation from physical trauma.”
“In order to have lucid dreams it is very important to first be able to recall dreams on a regular basis. This study suggests that Vitamin B6 may be one way to help people have lucid dreams.”
He also added that “Further research is needed to investigate whether the effects of Vitamin B6 vary according to how much is obtained from the diet,” Dr. Aspy said.
The Danger of taking high dose of vitamin B6
Beware! I hope, you have not swallowed a pill of vitamin b6 in excitement before coming to this line. Before taking any kind of vitamin doses consult your doctor first. Taking high doses of vitamin B6 for long is highly dangerous and can cause nerve damage.
